Vaxxine's Spam/Virus Blocker is an effective, free service, available exclusively to Vaxxine Clients. As the name implies, it helps to prevent Spam, Viruses, Worms, Trojans and other malicious beasts from breaching your computer. The best part, is that this service is very easy to use!

What is it?

This software is part of Vaxxine's E-Mail Control Panel. This software runs seamlessly in the background, monitoring your email for known signs of Spam, Viruses and other malicious code, and can prevent them from ever reaching your computer. The software is already installed on our server, so there is NO NEED for you to install anything! Just log in to the E-Mail Control Panel and choose your desired level of protection. Note that Corporate Spam/Virus Filtering services are also available.

How does this protect your computer?

The vast majority of computer viruses are spread through Email. Because the Virus Blocker is integrated with our Spam Blocker, each incoming Email is scanned for potential viruses. It is important to note that this software will identify Viruses, Worms, Trojans and other malicious software that arrive VIA EMAIL ONLY. As such, it's not meant as a replacement for dedicated Antivirus software and/or common-sense computer security practices. Learn more about computer security.

Log in to the E-Mail Control Panel and choose your desired level of protection. We recommend keeping it enabled for protection from both Spam and Viruses!

How does it work?

The Spam/Virus Blocker works by carefully examining the header and message body of all incoming messages, looking for the usual characteristics of Spam, Viruses and other Malware. If the message contains enough of these, the message is considered to be bad, and will be filtered. During our testing this filter caught about 95% of all Spam, Viruses and other Malware entering a mailbox. This Spam/Virus Blocker MAY POSSIBLY detect valid mail as Spam/virus, however this is very unlikely. Vaxxine assumes no liability whatsoever for the rare case where a valid email may be identified as Spam/virus, or where the Blocker fails to recognize Spam, Virus or other Malware. The Spam/Virus Blocker is an effective measure to aid in combating viruses and other Malware, but is NOT a suitable replacement for a full-fledged Antivirus tool. We recommend that you still scan your system regularly with a dedicated, up-to-date Antivirus software program.
